ITS NOT ABOUT THE ECONOMY,STUPID...
Or about what it says*, really. More a homage to analogue control systems - in this case a cam sequencer from the RS catalogue (http://rswww.com). Actually it says something else now, at least it will for a while. To “programme” it I have to connect up about 160 different wires - it’s another example of discourse without intelligence, or maybe even Machine Stupidity.

* “Shop Or Die” over and over and over again.... spelt out in 25w clear lightbulbs in a shop window in Leeds 21st March to 1st May 2005.

This is one of series that monumentalises texts and messages in this case spelling out a message in light bulbs to transform the surrounding area  and flood it with a light almost too strong to allow a clear reading unless the viewer steps back out of its range. This is simple technology, but it transfigures and transforms!
