PROPOSAL FOR A PUBLIC ARTWORK

This is the scale model for a proposed public art work; I showed it in Milan at Nowhere Gallery as part of the GIOCHI, PASSATEMPI E HARBINGERS exhibition, so the text is in italian. In english it roughly translates as:

"THIS IS THE WAY YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO GO (BUT WERE TOO AFRAID)

THIS IS NOT THE WAY FOR YOU TO GO

THIS IS A THIRD WAY (NEITHER FORWARD NOR BACK)

THIS IS THE WAY FORWARD"

I think it would work quite nicely on a traffic island somewhere on Milan's ring road but maybe it would just distract drivers from their core activity of running people over, polluting and generally making life unpleasant for everyone. That would be a terrible shame.
